Sherry's English Class
Hello, my name is Sherry
I lived in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, from the age of 5 to 15. I have loved Japan and Japanese culture since I was young, and I would like to use this experience to help Japanese people learn English
When I was 17, after graduating from high school in the United States, I returned to Japan for six months and lived in the Kansai region. During those six months, I traveled by train to Nara City, Moriguchi City, Iga-Ueno City, and Keihan City, teaching English to more than 60 Japanese people (ranging in age from 5 to 60). I loved this job very much, and this experience has been invaluable to me today
Having had to learn Japanese at a young age, I believe that receiving education in both English and Japanese is very important. I can help you with a wide range of topics, from business English to casual conversation. Please feel free to contact me

Student review
As someone born in the Showa era, I've always struggled with pronunciations like rfvth.t. in "katakana-based English," so I decided to learn from my friend, Miss Sherry. My
first surprise was when she pointed out that I hadn't realized the difference between the consonants W and Y. Speaking
in Kansai dialect and loving Japan, she understands the shortcomings of Japanese English and teaches with a program tailored to each individual.
For me, she started with vowels and thoroughly taught phonics, which has been incredibly helpful.
